Late: Philosophy “How We Look” will take place on Thursday 23rd April 2026 from 7-10pm at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield.
Think Together Sheffield bring you a thinking night out, hosted by Sheffield Museums with funding from Socratic Dialogues UK.
This year’s Late: Philosophy will take the theme “How We Look” and you’ll be invited to engage with philosophical themes relating to the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize ’25, Artworks Together International 2026, The Ruskin Collection and the Sykes Gallery Metalwork Collection.
Explore ideas such as identity, truth, perception, belief, beauty, equality, creativity and responsibility through talking and thinking with others. There will be facilitated dialogues, philosophical provocations and a range of drop-in activities to keep you busy all evening. No previous experience required – all are welcome who want listen as well as talk.
Sheffield Museums Lates are a night out with a difference. These drop-in, after-hours (7pm – 10pm) special events are a place where adults can explore, enjoy, and be entertained. Lates span a wide range of themes and topics, bringing together activities, talks, workshops, and a pay bar. Try something new, have fun, and experience an alternative night out at the museum.
This is a free event but pre-booking is recommended and donations are welcome.
